The current research aims to study the effectiveness of an indicative program to develop the awareness of university girls who are about to get married with the criteria of sustainable interior design for housing, which are sustainability (environmental, functional, economic, social) as an entrance to the beginning of a green life, where the data were completed through the application of research tools represented in (form The primary data of the research sample, awareness questionnaire of sustainable interior design standards for housing, indicative program to develop the awareness of university girls who are about to get married about the standards of sustainable interior design for housing), on a purposeful sample of (297) university girls who are about to marry from different economic and social levels from some Theoretical and practical faculties of Zagazig University, and experimental sample of (38) college girls, In this research, the descriptive analytical method and the experimental method were followed, the data were analyzed and appropriate statistical treatments were performed using the (Spss) program, then the appropriate tests were performed. To reach the following most important results: That more than half of the research sample have a low level of total awareness of the standards of sustainable interior design of the house, at a rate of 52.5%, and it was found that the level of mother's education was one of the most influential demographic variables in the level of awareness of girls. And there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental research sample members in their awareness of the criteria before and after the application of the program in favor of the dimensional application, with an impact rate of 93.4%. One of the most important recommendations: the importance of allocating courses by specialized professors on how to achieve sustainability in the interior design of the dwelling provided that among the skills courses for marriage preparation; to start a healthy green life.
