Abstract:
our study revealed the potential application of combination therapies of NPs with antibiotics, as opposed to the use of monotherapies which may lead to more resistance and, consequently, treatment failures. Our results earmark the improved antibacterial and antibiofilm activity of the meropenem–ZnO-NPs combination, representing a successful strategy for overcoming the emergent resistance of P. aeruginosa against carbapenems.
