This study aims for getting to know methods of poetry analysis and interpretation based on critics’ and rhetoricians' natural talents and acquired competencies, which qualify them to analyze deep hidden meanings. Qudama ibn Ja'far has discussed numerous stylistic faces, making use of his philosophical knowledge. This helped him establish his own approach, which has different characteristics from his peers. There's no doubt that criticism is influenced by the critic's personality, culture, beliefs, and mentality. These are important factors for the judgement and interpretation of texts. Whoever observes the interpretational methods of stylistic faces in Qudama's book "Naqd al-Shi'r" will notice how he differs from his peers in understanding and interpreting meanings, and how he sometimes would only express his approbation when defining a rhetorical value for a stylistic face, and other times, he would elaborate his reasoning for this approbation, and point to the role of stylistic formation in building a meaning.
