Abstract: |
The research aimed to determine the degree of performance of the Local Community Development Association for its roles in the following areas: social, economic, health, environmental protection, educational and cultural awareness, and agricultural development, in one of the villages of Sharkia Governorate from the perspective of the beneficiaries, and to determine the relationship between the degree of performance of the Community Development Association for its roles and characteristics beneficiaries, and determine the relative contribution of the independent variables related to the interpretation of the total variation in the degree of performance of the local community development association for its roles in the following areas: social, economic, health, environmental protection, educational, cultural awareness, and agricultural development, each separately and the total degree of the role in the study area, and identifying the most important The problems facing the association and their proposals to overcome them; The study followed the descriptive analytical approach, a sample of 153 beneficiaries was selected using the systematic random sampling method, representing 23% of the total volume (645) beneficiaries of the studied local community development services, using the Stephen Thompson equation, and the data were collected through a personal interview questionnaire form from the Association Community development in the village of Shayba al-Nakariah, which is administratively affiliated to the Zagazig Center, during the period from the beginning of July until the end of August in 2021. Percentages, frequencies and weighted average were used as descriptive statistical methods. Pearson correlation coefficient, Ka2 test, as well as the Step Wise multiple regression coefficient were used. As statistical and analytical methods, the results revealed that 53.6% of the respondents confirmed the high degree of performance of the Local Community Development Association for its roles in the economic field. The results: There is a positive correlation between the degree of the community development association's performance of its roles and the degree of efficiency and effectiveness of the manager, and confidence Integration with community members, communication and searching for information, and the results confirmed that three variables contributed significantly to the interpretation of the total degree of the community development association’s performance of its roles: communication and searching for information, the degree of effectiveness and efficiency of the manager, monthly income, with a contribution rate of 30.8%, 13.4%, 2.4 and 2.1%, respectively. The most important problems facing the associations were the weak financial resources of the organization with a weighted average of 74.0, and the most important proposals were to develop development projects that meet the needs of the people of the region by 100%.
