Abstract: |
The current study aimed at examining the relationship between personality disorders and behavioral disorders in a sample of psychoactive substance abusers, revealing personality disorders in the light of the alternative five-factor model most closely related to the study sample, and examining the predictability of behavioral disorders in the study sample of substance abusers through disorders Personality according to the alternative quinquennial model, the current study used the descriptive approach (correlative and causal), the study sample was chosen in a deliberate, voluntary manner from inmates of mental health hospitals (Dar Al-Mokattam for Mental Health, Abu Al-Azaim Hospitals in Nasr City, the tenth of Ramadan and New Cairo) and the number of volunteers from the inmates was 72 , males = 62 and females = 10, with an average age of approximately 29 years with a standard deviation of 7.148, and the ages ranged between 18-54 years. Regarding the distribution of the sample in terms of work, 40 individuals admitted their affiliation with governmental, private, or freelance jobs, and 32 individuals admitted unemployment. Regarding the educational level, there were 34 higher education, 29 intermediate education, 7 mediocre education, 2 illiterate people, and regarding marital status, 16 approved marriage, 48 single, 8 divorced. The study tools were data collection form (prepared by the researcher), and the researcher used measures of behavioral disorders And the five psychopathological measures from the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-3 (MMPI-3) developed by Youssef Ben-Porath and Oke Telegan (Ben-Porath, Y. S., Tellegen, 2020) and quoted and codified by Abdullah Askar 2021 in Arabic and contains 235 statements that measure ten measures of honesty and 42 assessment scales for adults over 18 years of age.
The results of the study showed the following: Personality disorders, according to the five-factor model of the third Minnesota Multiple Test of Personality, predict an increase in the average scores of the Extrinsic Behavioral Disorder - family problems - conduct disorder - and the misuse of psychoactive substances - and the impulsivity scale scores and the motivation scale) among a sample. the study.
