Abstract: |
Rumors are a very dangerous social phenomenon, found in every time and place, and are considered one of the most dangerous moral wars and psychological epidemics, which have a grave danger for safe human societies, due to the speed and ease of spread and their impact on people, especially the simple ones, and their danger increases in times of crises, wars, revolutions, movements and disasters, because Its effects include misleading public opinion and stirring up discord among people.
The increasing impact of rumors comes from the weak religious tenet of some individuals in societies. They are working on spreading false news rumors, which others believe without being proven or deliberate. What makes matters worse is that it has become easy to repeat rumors and persist in them through the media and news available at this time; In terms of modern technologies, infinity, satellite TV, the Internet, and the successive means of broadcasting and news.
Hence, rumors are considered among the social dilemmas with serious implications, which requires studying them from an Islamic jurisprudential perspective, and identifying their causes and effects in the dismantling of human societies, and ways to confront and address them in Islamic law, in order to achieve social stability.
The research showed the approach of Islamic law in dealing with news after its occurrence. Four chapters and a conclusion were organized. As for the first chapter: it clarifies the concept of rumors, the relationship between them and the related words, and the controls on information circulation. As for the second chapter: on the effect of rumors on the dismantling of societies, the third chapter: I have called it: the means of legitimate confrontation with rumors, in which it showed the Holy Qur’an approach to confronting rumors. And as well as the methodology of the Prophets and Messengers, then after that the approach of the Companions, may God be pleased with them, in the face of rumors, and I dealt with in the fourth chapter spreading rumors from a legal perspective, which entailed a statement of the jurisprudential judgment of rumors, and then the results of the research.
