The current research investigates the effect of using the six hats strategy in
developing the ability of solving problems as well as decision-taking among
seventh grade students. To achieve the research objectives, an exploratory
sample of (112) seventh grade students was selected to verify the psychometric

characteristics of the scales. A sample of teachers (6) teachers who have
teached science course for the seventh grade of the experimental sample have
been trained to use the strategy of six caps in teaching, while the sample of
students, where (128) students from the seventh grade students; divided into
two groups one of which The other group (65) students, the average age of the
sample was 10.69 years, the standard deviation (2,19), and the homogeneity
of the two samples (experimental and control) in the level of intelligence, age
and achievement was verified. Previous, the sample was used to validate the
current research hypotheses, and two metrics were built: The Problem-
Solving Scale of Preparation (Justice, 2012) and the Decision Scale prepared
by researchers. The most important results of the research showed that there
were statistically significant differences between the control and experimental
groups in the ability to solve problems for the experimental group, and the
presence of statistically significant differences between the control and
experimental groups in the decision making for the experimental group. The
value of the square Eta coefficient (0.59), which means high effectiveness of
learning in the proposed method, and the presence of statistically significant
differences between the two measurements in the measurements before and
after the measure of the ability to solve problems in favor of telemetry. The
research recommends that teaching in accordance with the strategy of the six
caps make the student researcher, thinker and critic of the views expressed in
the lesson, and increase the level of class interaction and this has the
development of more modern ideas and authenticity, in addition to the
development of language skills and improve the ability of students to express
all this creates an orderly interaction In thinking, problem solving and
decision taking.
