“The Effectiveness of Applying Activities Based on Sketch Maps and Digital Geographic Applications to Improve the Spatial Knowledge and the Ability of Geography Visualization for Fourth Grade Primary Students” Abstract: This research aims to suggest activities that merge the sketch maps practices with some digital geographic applications and finding out its effectiveness in improving the Spatial Knowledge Maps and the ability of Geography Visualization for fourth grade primary students, In order to achieve this, a suggested list of the activities has been prepared and has been included in a booklet that contains two kinds of activities: The first kind targets the spatial knowledge of the local surrounding environment (school, home, shopping area) and the second type targets the Spatial knowledge of the remote environment which represented in the content that is included in the first unit of the social studies book for fourth grade primary students. A teacher's guide has been prepared to clarify the procedures that should be done while applying the proposed booklet. The research tools represented in two exams. The first one is "The Spatial Knowledge Maps Exam" and the second one is "The Ability of Geography Visualization Exam''. Both exams prepared for fourth grade primary students. The experimental research proceeds through two separate groups, but similar at the same time, (the control group and the experimental one), the sample has reached 60 students of both genders. The research has achieved a number of results showed a statistically significant difference between the averages between the scores of the experimental group students and the scores of the control group students in the post application of both The Spatial Knowledge Maps Exam and the Ability of Geography Visualization Exam in favour of the experimental group. In addition to the presence of a statistically significant difference between the averages of the experimental group students' scores in the Pre and post measurement of Spatial Knowledge Exam and Geography Visualization Exam in favour of the post application. The research emphasized the importance of taking the local environment into consideration in the content of Geography Curriculum, especially in the Primary Education, Before studying geography, students should feel the importance of it in their lives and apply it to their reality.
