“A suggested Course in Behavioral Geography and its Influence on the Development of Forms of Understanding Related to the Geographic Literacy of Students of the Geography Division” Abstract: The research aims to suggest a Course in behavioral geography for the students of geography division and addresses two subjects under such research that have an effect on improving the forms of understanding related to geographical literacy for the mentioned students, which was addressed by “Edelson” vice president of education at the National Geographic Society.The forms of understanding include the following: The understanding of interactions, Interconnections, Implications, and in order to achieve the afore-mentioned; A suggested list of behavioral geographical content has been prepared and address two subjects to be applied on 30 students who are enrolled in the second grade at the Faculty of Education, Zagazig University. The research tool has been represented by a test that has been prepared to measure the forms of understanding related to the geographical literacy. The research proceeds through the system of single experimental group. The findings indicated a statistically significant difference at significance level (0.01) between the mean scores of the students of experimental group in the pre and post application to address the forms of understanding related to the geographical literacy as a whole and for each one of them separately with regard to the post application. The research recommended the necessity of supporting the modern concept of geographical literacy especially for the students who supposed to be teachers by providing geographical content that focuses on human being decisions and its relation to the geographical conditions and factors.
