Abstract: The study aimed to find out the extent to which Egyptian journalists working in electronic news sites in Egypt used modern methods in editing all the art of journalistic editing, and the study adopted the media survey method and the questionnaire tool for collecting information, and the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: 1- Egyptian journalists have not reached the level of professionalism in using modern methods of journalistic editing. 2- The results show that the editorial policy of the news site is one of the most important Factors that govern the work of journalism, and is considered one of the factors influencing the use of the technical template for electronic press editing. 3- The results of the study confirmed that the gatekeepers control the decision-making and the method and method of publishing news materials. 4- The results of the study indicate the respondents ’interest in quickly formulating news material in order to get the scoop to attract the largest number of audience and users, and this is evident in times of wars and crises.
