Abstract:
This paper has evaluated the impact of mixing water type (tap water, nickel and chromium wastewater) on the resistivity of alkali- activated slag to biogenic sulfuric acid, produced by sulfur oxidizing fungi, for up to 180-days of incubation. The degradation rate of hardened alkali-activated slag is strongly influenced by fungal biomass, pH and cationic leachability.
