Background: Post- traumatic distal radius physeal arrest usually leads to distal forearm deformity in the form of shortening and angulation. Ulnar impingent and angular deformity of the distal radius can be managed by ulnar shortening or radial lengthening by acute or gradual techniques. Patients and Methods: Short term retrospective study done at our department. Six patients (mean age 10.8 years) were included, they suffered from posttraumatic distal radius shortening and angular deformity as a sequence to distal radial physeal arrest. Circular fixator used to acutely correct the deformity and gradual lengthening of distal radius by distraction osteogenesis. The patients were evaluated clinically by wrist Mayo score. Correction was assessed radiologically by ulnar variance (mean was 27.5 mm) and bone healing index.
