The Effectiveness of A Program Based on Information Processing Theory in Developing Plan Writing Skills Research and Information Awareness Among Graduate Students at the College of Education.

Abstract: The aim of the current research is to investigate the effectiveness of a program based on information processing theory in developing research plan writing skills and information awareness among pre-masters’ students majoring in curricula and methods of teaching Arabic at the College of Education.
To achieve the goal of the research, the following actions were taken: Determining the skills of writing a research plan necessary for pre-master students specializing in curricula and methods of teaching Arabic at the College of Education, a test to measure skills, an analytical performance assessment card for skills, determining the dimensions of information awareness appropriate for students, and preparing a scale to measure it among students. The program based on the theory of information processing, the teaching guide, the student researcher’s book, and the validation of research tools and materials were prepared, and the experimental method (semiexperimental design) with one group was used, and the field experiment was conducted during the first semester of the academic year 2022 2021 AD, then monitoring the results, statistically processing them, discussing and interpreting them, and making recommendations and proposals.
The research reached the following results: There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the research group students in the tribal and remote measurements in the assessment card for writing the research plan skills as a whole and in each subskill separately in favor of the post-measurement, and there is a statistically significant difference between M Average rank the scores of the research group students in the tribal and remote measurements in the informational awareness scale as a whole and in each dimension separately in favor of the post-measurement. In light of the research results, the researcher recommends using the program based on the theory of information processing in developing the skills of writing the research plan and information awareness among graduate students at the College of Education, including it within the graduate courses, and holding training courses and workshops to develop academic writing skills, and the skills of each of its fields; Especially the research plan, and the development of informational awareness among graduate students.
