Abstract of the research The Effect of Using Digital Stories on Developing the Oral Functional Expression skills During Life Situations of Disorder Primary Stage Pupils By Dr. Salwa Hassan Mohamed Basal Dr. Essam Mohamed AbdoKhattab The present research aimed at developing the oral functional expression skills during life situations of the sixth grade primary disorder pupils through using digital stories. To achieve the previously mentioned aim; the researchers followed the following procedures: they determined the general oral functional expression skills needed for the sixth grade primary disorder pupils, the life situations suitable for those pupils to practice the oral functional expression skills and the criteria of selecting the content of the digital stories and their usage. The quasiـexperimental design was used. Instruction was conducted during the first term of the academic year 2020/2021. The sample was divided into two groups; experimental group and a control group. The digital stories were designed in the way that suits the pupils. For data collection, the following instruments were designed; life situations test and an analytical checklist to measure the oral functional expression skills during the life situations. Teacher's guide and pupils' work sheets were also designed. The instruments were pre administered to the two groups, then the instruction was applied after that the same instruments were post administered. Results indicated that there was statistically significant difference between the mean ranks of the experimental group and those of the control group in the post administration of the oral functional expression skills test during life situations as a whole and for each subـskill. Results also revealed statistically significant difference between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the pre and post administration of the oral functional expression skills test during life situations as a whole and for each subـskill, the thing that assured a positive effect of using digital stories on developing the oral functional expression skills during life situations of the experimental group pupils. So, the researchers recommended using digital stories on developing oral functional expression skills during life situations.
