Abstract:
In this work the use of CR-39 plastic detector in fast neutron dosimeteric applications by using chemical etching technique was extensively studied. Also, the effect of some moderators such as water and polycarbonate sheets on fast neutron was studied. It is found that the linearity behaviour between recoil protons track density (ρp) and neutron dose was noticed. On the other hand the maximum recoil protons track density (ρp) is mainly dependent on water and polycarbonate thickness layer. In such a manner that a sharply decrease in (ρp) by increasing water thickness and polycarbonate.
