The study aimed at identifying the degree of adherence the rural people to some social and economic values in Sharkia Governorate, Egypt and determining the related factors to their adherence to these social and economic values, also determining the gap between male and female in these adherence for social and economic values. The study was conducted using the social survey method on a sample of 376 individuals of the rural people in Al-Najeeh and Umm Al-Zein villages in Sharkia Governorate, Egypt. The data was collected using a questionnaire form by personal interview. The data was presented and analyzed using: frequency and percentages, mean, alpha-cronbach coefficient. Pearson correlation coefficient, and the gap between male and female. The study reached to several results which are: the high degree of adherence of respondents to social values by (87.2%), while their degree of adherence to economic values was moderate (67%). The results also showed a positive correlation between the degree of adherence of the social values and the variables: age, number of years of use social media, orientation towards the use of social media, and orientation toward renewal. While the results showed that a positive correlation between the degree of adherence of the economic values and variable: the number of years of education, Finally, the results showed that a gap between male and female favor of the male in there adherence to the value of the honesty, the degree of adherence to the value of the neighbor's right, the degree of adherence to the value of cooperation, the degree of adherence to the value of farm work, the total degree of adherence to social values, while found a gap favor of female in the degree of adherence to the value of women's work and the degree of adherence to the value of consumption.
