The present/ current research aims at developing branching skills of primary stage students through using mind mapping in teaching mathematics. Study sample is randomly selected from fifth grade Students in (Abo-Nbhan primary school) belonging to Mite Ghamr education directorate. It is divided into: an (Experimental group: consisted of 40 students) and a (Control group: consisted of 40 students). The researcher has prepared a test in branching thinking skills. The test has been pre and post administered to the research sample. The results showed that: there would be statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group in pre-test and post-test scores in favor of the post-test score. And there would be statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the mean scores of the control group in the post-test scores in favor of the experimental group. And there haven’t been found any statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre and the follow up test score in the branching thinking skills .That is, the Mind mapping strategy leads to the development of branching thinking skills (as a total ability or as sub-abilities) among the students of the research sample, while continuing to increase the students' branching thinking skills after using the mind mapping strategy in teaching mathematics for a period of time, which indicates the continuation of the effect of the strategy.
