Criminal intermediation is considered one of the most significant techniques used to solve criminal conflicts in peaceful ways which may serve to overcome the dilemma of traditional criminal justice . It can be argued that due to technological breakthrough , some models of less important crimes are wide spreading which consume the concentration and effort of law enforcement agencies as well as courts . In order to deal with this model of crimes negotiations can be carried out between the offender and the victim in the presence of a member of public prosecution to cover the area of damages suffered by the victim for which a compensation can be awarded as a remedy . The aforementioned mechanism shall guarantee that social disturbance generated by the crime is cured and the offender is rehabilitated conveniently. It is noteworthy that criminal intermediation has become more favorable mechanism of modern criminal law policy mainly because the deep change witnessed by contemporary criminal legislations from the centrality of the concept of punishment to a system more depending upon consensual agreements . furthermore, intermediation as mentioned earlier saves time , expenditures and effort of both parties of criminal procedures and contributes to promote the efficiency of law enforcement agencies as well . This research tends to focus upon French law perspective in the application of criminal intermediation system and the conditions drawn for that application to employ some of these outcomes when intermediation is adopted in the Egyptian criminal law .
