Unemployment is one of the most serious problems faced by many young people. This problem is represented in the scarcity of job opportunities in terms of quantity and quality. Perhaps freelance is a way to reduce it
The current research aims to identify the reality of awareness of the culture of freelance among students of specific education and the most important obstacles that prevent its achievement.
The research adopted the descriptive method. A questionnaire was used as an instrument, and was applied to 150 male and female students from Art Education, Home Economics and Educational Technology sections.
The research involved: Freelance culture (philosophy, goals, advantages, disadvantages and areas), and specific education (philosophy, goals and areas). Results indicated: Weak awareness of the culture of freelance work and entrepreneurship among students of specific education in its three aspects (cognitive, emotional and skill); and, the existence of many modern methods and government efforts to support freelance, including business incubators.
Finally, a number of recommendations were introduced to develop the culture of freelance awareness among students, including: updating the vision, mission, programs and decisions of specific education; establishing special units to facilitate the transition to the labor market, and holding employment forums.
Keywords: Freelance Culture Awareness, Specific Education Students.
