Leadership agility is one of the most important modern leadership methods, which are used to help leaders practice their work efficiently and effectively in a highly complex, ambiguous, uncertain and rapidly changed competitive environment, and how to respond and adapt to challenges and changes, by possessing a set of the basic competencies and their associated skillsand practices. The main objective of the research was to identify the reality of leadership agility and how to develop its competencies and improve its practices among the heads of academic departments at the Faculty of Education, Zagazig University. The research used the Descriptive Approach, through the following methodological procedures: - Description of the intellectual framework for leadership agility in contemporary administrative and educational literature. - Presentation and analysis of the features of the current state of leadership agility among the heads of academic departments at the Faculty of Education, Zagazig University. - Monitoring and analyzing the reality of the application of academic agility among the heads of academic departments at the Faculty of Education, Zagazig University from the point of view of the research sample, which amounted to (92) members of the faculty and the supporting body, and a percentage of 34.98% of the original research community. - Presenting a set of procedural proposals to develop leadership agility competencies and improve their practices among the heads of academic departments.
