The owners of the information processing trend see that the individual’s information processing strategy affects the cognitive function, as the preferred strategy of the mentally retarded who are able to learn differ in his processing of information with the way the information is presented to him or with his way of dealing with the information. Information processing depends on some mental processes such as attention, perception and memory, which previous studies have shown that mentally retarded students who are able to learn have distraction and weakness in perception and memory. These students as will be seen in the results.
