Abstract:
The current research aims to try to identify the correlation between the dimensions of post-traumatic stress and the total degree on the one hand and the dimensions of future anxiety and the total degree on the other hand among university students, and to study the differences between male and female students in each of the dimensions of post-traumatic stress and the total degree and the dimensions of future anxiety and the total degree, In addition to studying the bilateral interaction between each of the student’s type and post-traumatic stress on the dimensions of future anxiety and the total score, and to achieve these goals, the researcher built two scales, one of which is to measure post-traumatic stress to measure four dimensions in addition to the total degree of stressful events, and the four dimensions are: the security dimension and the dimension The psychological dimension, the economic dimension, the academic dimension, and the other to measure future anxiety to measure four dimensions in addition to the total degree of future anxiety, and the four dimensions are anxiety of life problems, anxiety of health and survival, anxiety of thinking about the future, and despair about the future, and checking their validity for use on a sample of 57 students. Then they were applied to a sample of 300 university students, including 151 males and 149 females, using correlation coefficients, t-test, and analysis of variance. For two, the research ended with: There is a statistically significant correlation between the degrees of the dimensions of the post-traumatic stress scale and the total score on the one hand, and the degrees of the dimensions of the future anxiety scale and the total score on the other hand, and the presence of statistically significant differences between male and female students in the degrees of the dimensions of the post-traumatic stress scale and the total score in favor of the students While there are no statistically significant differences between male and female students in the degrees of the dimensions of the future anxiety scale and the total score, in addition to the absence of an effect of the bilateral interaction between the type of student and post-traumatic stress on the students’ scores in the dimensions of the future anxiety scale and the total score.
