Abstract: |
The current research aims to study the effectiveness of the program based on educational multimedia compared to the prevailing method, and the effectiveness of the method of content presentation (using the principles of Gagnier's theory - using the principles of Brunner's theory), as well as the effect of the interaction between the type of student and the method of content presentation in developing critical thinking skills and academic creativity. The research is a semi-experimental approach with two experimental groups and a control group. The sample amounted to (93) students from the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University. They were distributed into three groups, including two experimental groups (each of 30 students) and a control group (33) students, the control group taught according to the method. The prevailing usual and direct, and the two experimental groups are taught in an electronic way, one according to Gagnier, and the other according to Brunner, and two scales were used, namely the scale of critical thinking and the scale of academic creativity, and using the T-test and the analysis of binary variance, the results concluded: There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students of the two groups The two experimental groups and the students of the control group in the post-measurement on the scales of critical thinking and academic creativity in favor of the students of the two experimental groups Betaine, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students of the two experimental groups, the experimental group (1) who study the program by using the content presentation method (using the principles of Gagnier theory), and the experimental group (2) who study the program by the method of content presentation (using the principles of Brunner’s theory) in measurement The dimensionality of the critical thinking scale in favor of the experimental group (1), while the differences in academic creativity were in favor of the experimental group (2), and there were no differences between male and female students, as well as the effect of the interaction between the type of student and the method of content presentation on all critical thinking skills and academic creativity, and the study recommended the possibility of Benefiting from training students on the skills of producing educational multimedia programs, as well as paying attention to the educational applications of different learning theories in providing and organizing the content of educational multimedia programs.
