The current research aims to study the extent of awareness of Sultan Qaboos University students with knowledge, trends and skills related to the knowledge-based economy. The variables of the academic level (first - fourth), the type of study (faculties of science - humanities colleges), the type of student (male - female), using arithmetic averages, standard deviations and the (t) test, the study concluded that the level of cognitive awareness of Sultan Qaboos University students is between low And the presence of statistically significant differences between the first and fourth levels in the extent of awareness of the knowledge economy (knowledge-attitudes-skills) in favor of the fourth-level students, and the presence of statistically significant differences between students of scientific faculties and students of humanities faculties in favor of students of scientific faculties, and there are no statistically significant differences between students and female students in the extent of awareness of the knowledge economy, and the research recommended the need to raise the level of university students in general and Sultan Qaboos University students in particular with knowledge and trends and skills associated with a knowledge-based economy
