The objective of this study is to review the theoretical aspects of vocatives: the concept, the grammatical properties and lead the phonological and morphosyntactic characters about these, as well as the classification of the grammatical categories that function as themselves, and their use in speech. It also delves into the pragmatic functions of the phenomenon studied within the framework of the exercise of verbal courtesy. Finally, a pragmatic analysis is made of the examples, which are widely represented, and the most significant aspects of the vocatives.
