This article provides a contrastive analysis of wordplay phenomena such as anagrams, palindrome and lipogram in Spanish and Arabic. Such phenomena are based on the redistribution of the letters of two or more paronyms, and sometimes a specific phonetic unit is deleted from the text. They are the result of a deliberate linguistic manipulation.The main objective of the study is to clarify the similarities and differences between the two languages.
