The current study is a contrastive study aimed at showing the similarities and differences in the use of taboos and euphemisms in Spanish and Arabic. The study is divided into two parts: the theoretical part is dedicated to explaining and reviewing the literature as pertinent to these linguistic phenomena and their significance in speech communities, while the second part is a classification of these phenomena along with supporting examples in Spanish and Arabic. It is wort mentioning that we attempted to highlight the significance of telepathy and how frequent they are in Spanish as well as Arabic cultures.
