Bayes Inference in Multiple Step–Stress Accelerated Life Tests for the Generalized Exponential Distribution with Type–I Censoring

Abstract:
In this artic1e, the prob1em of multiple step–stress acce1erated 1ife tests when the 1ifetime follows the genera1ized exponentia1 distribution is considered based on type-I censoring scheme. The method of maximum likelihood is used to estimate the distribution parameters. Also, Bayes method is used to estimate the unknown parameters assuming independent gamma priors. The Bayes estimators are obtained under squared error loss function using Monte Carlo Integration. The performance of the different estimators are compared via a simulation by considering different samples sizes and different values of predetermined time.
