Abstract:
A new genus Leptophascum (Müll. Hal.) J.Guerra & M.J.Cano. (Pottiaceae) to the bryoflora of Egypt, this genus is represented by one species Leptophascum leptophyllum (Müll. Hal.) J.Guerra & M.J.Cano.This raised the number of fully identified moss taxa recorded from Egypt up to 189 taxa, location, habitats, herbarium number and distribution in Africa and the world were giving as well as the description and photos.
