Abstract: |
The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between Psychological Resilience,well-being and social identity among adolescent girls in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also aimed to identifydifferences between high and low Psychological Resiliencein social identity, as well as to detect the differences in Psychological Resilienceof Egyptian and Saudi adolescent girls that are attributed to variables (age; academic specialization). In addition to knowing the extent of the contribution of both well-being and Psychological Resiliencein predicting the social identity of adolescent girls in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The research sample consisted of (300) femalesatsecondary school students in Egypt and Riyadh. Their ages ranged between (15-18) years. With a mean age of(16.91), and a standard deviation (0.804); They answeredThePsychological ResilienceScale prepared by Conner and Davison (2003 )The Scale prepared by Safaa khreba (2020) was applied to the sample. Thewell-being Scale prepared by Safaa khreba (2016); The social identity scale was adapted from the ideological and social identity ranks scale prepared by Benetton and Adams, translated and codified by Muhammad al-Sayed (1998). The results indicated that there is a statistically significant positive correlation at the level of (0.05) and (0.01) between the total degree of social identity and all dimensions of Psychological Resilience And the overall score; With the exception of the dimension (personal competence, cohesion and perseverance), the results showed that there is no statistically significant correlation between the total degree of social identity and that dimension. The results also resulted in a statistically significant correlation at the level of (0.01) between the total score of social identity and all dimensions of personal happiness and the overall score. The results also resulted in the absence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of adolescent girls with low / high levels of Psychological Resilience on the scale of social identity, except after achieving social identity, the results showed that there are differences between adolescent girls with high and low levels of Psychological Resilience in that dimension, and the differences were in the direction of adolescent girls who have high levels of Psychological Resilience. ; In addition to the absence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of Egyptian adolescent girls in all dimensions of the Psychological Resilience scale and the total score according to the age variables (16 years or less; 17 years and over). And academic specialization (scientific; literary), with the exception of (personal competence, cohesion and perseverance). The results showed that there were differences between adolescent girls in those dimensions, and the differences were in the direction of adolescent girls of older age; And adolescent girls with scientific specialization, and differences were found in the dimension (spiritual and religious influences), and the differences were towards adolescent girls with literary specialization; While the results resulted in no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of Saudi adolescent girls in all dimensions of the Psychological Resilience scale according to age (16 years or less; 17 years and over) except for the two dimensions (personal competence, cohesion and perseverance). And (the ability to control), the results showed that there were differences between adolescent girls, and the differences were in the direction of adolescent girls of the oldest age; There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of Saudi adolescent girls in all dimensions of the Psychological Resilience scale and the total score according to academic specialization (scientific, literary). The results also resulted in a statistically significant effect at the level of (0.01), which the Psychological Resilience variable and personal relaxation contribute to predicting the achievement of the identity of interpersonal relationships among adolescent girls in the study sample.
