Left unilateral ovariectomy was performed in two standing she donkeys (6-8 years old) diagnosed for ovarian leiomyoma and ovarian cyst by ultrasonographic examination. This operation was performed via hand assisted laparoscopic ovariectomy technique through paralumber fossa approach under the effect of sedation using xylazine hydrochloride (1 mg/kg, body weight, intravenous) and linear local infiltration anesthesia using lidocaine hydrochloride 2%. Specimens from resected ovaries were subjected for histopathological examination which revealed presence of leiomyoma and ovarian cyst. It could be concluded that, the operated animals were successfully healed uneventfully. The used technique was minimally invasive, rapid and safe for ovariectomy in she donkeys.
