Abstract:
Purpose: The aim of this prospective study is to evaluate the functional results of isolated bundle augmentation in young active patients with partial anterior cruciate ligament disruption. Methods: Twenty-two patients with partial (ACL) tears are included in this study between April 2015 and January 2018. The mean age was 24.3±5.5 years. Functional assessment of patients is done using lysholm score and (IKDC) scale before and after surgery. Knee instability is assessed using Lachman and pivot-shift tests. Paired t-test is used to compare the pre-operative and post-operative means. P-value ˂ 0.05 is statistically significant. Results: The mean follow up time is 28.7±5.7 months. The final mean of lysholm score is 96.8±3.5 points with statistically significant difference between the pre-operative and the final post-operative mean (p-value < 0.00001). There is significant improvement of the (IKDC) scale, Lachman and pivot-shift tests at the end of follow-up period.
