Abstract:
Pre-operative carbohydrate loading and early post-operative feeding as components of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) yields a better post-operative outcome in colo-rectal surgery. Aim of the work was to prove the benefits of preoperative carbohydrate loading and early post-operative feeding over the traditional protocol.
