Abstract: |
This research aims to benefit from the experience of some foreign universities in activating the E-training for faculty members in Egyptian universities, through the identification of theoretical foundations of e-training, clarifying the most important features of e-training in some foreign universities, particularly, concerning teaching and scientific research, especially research supervision for post-graduate students, and identifying the reality of e-training of the faculty member in Egyptian universities, as well as concluding some of the proposed mechanisms that contribute to benefit from the experience of some foreign universities in the activation of e-training of the faculty members in the Egyptian universities.
The research used- the descriptive analytical approach- to achieve its main objective, and reached many results, including: The success of e-training requires the availability of several requirements, which are: Supporting the senior management of the e-training, and providing the qualified and trained technical personnel. Furthermore, it also pointed out the efforts of some foreign universities, including: Ohio University's establishment of online training center, the center's interest in providing several e-training courses in the field of e-teaching, teaching, and Webster University's establishment of online learning center; In addition, the University of Melbourne also provides an online program to train faculty members in research supervision for post-graduate researchers, and the University of Edinburgh's interest through the Academic Development Institute through providing regular activities for online supervisors that concentrate on specific elements related to research supervision.
