Abstract: |
The aim of the current research is to study the relationship between Facebook use and psychological happiness among university students with visual impairment, a psychometric-clinical study, and to achieve this goal, the research was conducted on a sample of (85) students with visual impairment at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, Tanta, Zagazig, and Mansoura. And the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom at Cairo University who have an account on a Facebook page, and their ages ranged between (19-23) years, and the measures of Facebook usage (the researcher's preparation) and the psychological happiness scale (the researcher's preparation) were applied, and by using the statistical methods represented by the Pearson correlation coefficient, And (T) test for independent samples, the results resulted in no relationship between Facebook use and psychological happiness among university students with visual impairment (visually impaired - blind), and there was no relationship between the number of friends on the Facebook page and the degree of psychological happiness among university students with visual impairment ( Visually impaired - the blind), there are statistically significant differences between the quality of the Facebook page update (positive page update - negative page update) and the degree of psychological happiness of university students with visual impairment in favor of To update the positive, there are no statistically significant differences between the severity of visual disability (partial - college) and psychological happiness among university students with visual impairment, the difference in personality dynamics among university students with visual impairment according to the different degree of psychological happiness according to what the clinical study indicated, and based on what As a result of the results of the current research, the researcher made some recommendations directed to those in charge of caring for university students with vision impairment and the blind, which may benefit these students, and the research was concluded with some proposed research that calls for interest in its research, which may benefit many researchers in the fields of mental health and special education
