Abstract:	The infrared spectra of grafted dissolving bagasse pulp with acrylonitrile using KMnO4/oxalic acid redox initiator system were recorded in the region of 600-4000 cm(-1). The optimum monomer concentration, reaction time, initiator concentration, acid concentration and reaction temperature were confirmed spectroscopically giving information about the mechanism of grafting process.
