In addition to, the high degree of prevalence and comorbidity between depression and anxiety has led to a search for mechanisms responsible for this comorbidity. One of the returns of these searching is the Integrative Hierarchical Model (IHM) for anxiety and depression. According to this model, each disorder contains a general, a specific, and a unique component or factor.
