Abstract:
Adolescence is the age of immense turmoil in emotional and behavioral spheres. So, this might augers ill for the individual's future resulting in depression and anxiety among other problems. In addition to, the high degree of prevalence and comorbidity between depression and anxiety has led to a search for mechanisms responsible for this comorbidity. One of the returns of these searching is the Integrative Hierarchical Model (IHM) for anxiety and depression. According to this model, each disorder contains a general, a specific, and a unique component or factor. To be specific, Repetitive negative thoughts are viewed as a specific cognitive vulnerability factor that seems to be involved in the etiology and maintenance of emotional problems with worry have been theoretically contributed to anxiety and rumination have been contributed to depression.
