Abstract:
Intraoperative localization is an essential aspect of neurosurgery to achieve safe maximal resection of intracranial mass lesions. Intraoperative MRI is very useful to achieve this goal but its huge cost is a major limiting factor preventing its widespread use. OBJECTIVES: The work aims to evaluate the utility of intraoperative ultrasound in localization, characterization and resection control of intracranial mass lesions.
