Abstract:
Pyrimidinthione 1 was reacted with benzylidenemalononitrile 2 to yield pyrimidothiazine 4. The synthesis of arylidenothiazolopyrimidines 7 was achieved by the reaction of chloroacetic acid, aldehydes and pyrimidinthione 1 in the presence of base. Aminothiazolopyrimidine 9 was obtained from the reaction of compound 1 with chloroacetonitrile. Reaction of ethyl bromoacetate with compound 1 afforded ethoxycarbonylmethylmercaptopyrimidine 10. Compound 1 was reacted with NaOCl in the presence of NaOH/NH4OH to give sulphenamide 13 that undergoes cyclization by using benzoyl chloride to give 14.
