Abstract:	Some modified nucleosides were prepared from 5,6-disubstituted uridine, 5-substituted cytidine and cytidine by nucleophilic substitution reactions in alkaline or neutral medium; preliminary antibacterial activities of the synthesized compounds have been measured.
