among studied demographic, economic and social variables. Determination the differences in the levels of rural women
empowerment at the family level / community level / national level / total level, according to the difference in the studied area.
Determination of the relative contributing of the independent variables in the interpretation of the total variance of levels of rural
women empowerment (family level - community level - national level - total level). Identify the obstacles of rural women
empowerment from the viewpoint of the respondents and its arrangement in order of its priority. The study was conducted
depending on the social survey method on a random sample of (150 respondents) from the two villages of com Al-ashraf

depends on two types of data: the initial data from the official published records, and field data that were collected using a
questionnaire form by personal interview with the heads of households, starting from August until late of September 2016, data
were analyzed using: frequencies and percentages, the weighted average , the simple Pearson correlation coefficient, Chi-square
test, "Mann-Whitney" test, "Pearson correlation coefficient" test, multiple regression "Step Wise" test . The study came to the
following findings: that the majority of respondents in the middle empowerment category according to the total empowerment
level by (38.7%), the national level by (36%), while equal respondents rate in the middle and high empowerment categories on
the family level by (34.7), while the majority of respondents in the low empowerment category at the community level by (36%).
There were no significant differences in the levels of empowerment of rural women at family level, community level, the national
level and total level according to different area of study. The study also showed that there were nine independent variables
significantly contributed together in the interpretation of the total variance of total level of rural women empowerment by
(38.7%) of the total variance in the level of the total rural women empowerment, and can determine the percentage of the relative
contribution of each variable of the nine variables, respectively, from the largest to the smallest as follows: the number of years
of education of researched rural woman, unofficial social participation, women's confidence in themselves, Monthly Income of
the family, participation in the making of family's decisions, the age of marriage for the husband, the number of education years

were positively effects except these variables: the age of marriage for the husband, the number of years of education of
researched rural woman, the family size, the support for the use of violence by the husband, they were a negatively effect.
