Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of some nitrogen heterobicyclic systems: Part I

Some new bactericidal and fungicidal derivatives of imidazolylimidazolone, pyrazoloimidazole, benzimidazoimidazole, imidazoimidazole, imidazopyrimidine and pyrazolo-l,2,4-triazine derivatives have been prepared by the reaction of 4-arylidene-2-phenyl-5-oxazolones with varied nucleophilic reagents. Structure elucidation of the products has been deduced on the basis of elemental analysis, ill H-1 NMR, UV and MS data.
