The subject of this search for the options that can be in front of Arab rhetoric in this age, which witnessed scientific revolutions and huge developments in different fields of knowledge, which put it back to an inevitable fate, either replaced by a modern alternative such as stylistics or semiotics, in order to overcome the cognitive and methodological paradox with the sciences of the age, by radical changing its principles and strategies, so as to be able to contend with the modern currents. It is an active component in the scientific establishment of the arab critical inquiry. It meets the demands of modernity. The study examined these options through the work of Ibn Al-Bannaa Al-Marrakshi (d. 721 AH) which approaches to a general rhetorical eloquence, in contrast to the search for alternatives to arabic eloquence, as in which Shokry Ayyad calls: arabic stylistics.
