Introduction:
Leadership is no longer an innate talent as was once thought, and is no longer practiced solely on the basis of experience and natural ability, but has become a characteristic that can be acquired and developed, and the development of the leadership skills of children depends not only on the support provided to them by their families; With this support, children are touched by procedural actions that all confirm that we stand side by side with them.
Leadership needs support and encouragement for children at an early age, as all children have potential leadership skills that can be developed and strengthened, i.e. what we may lack is the provision of a prepared environment, while raising awareness of the importance of kindergarten teachers and families and how to develop the leadership skills of children at this crucial age.
In other countries, the number of women in the labor force has increased from 12.5 per cent in 1990 to 11.5 per cent in 2000. Helps develop children's skills and abilities.
The results of several studies, such as Hassan (2012), Al-Dajani (2014), Yusuf Study (2015) and Maureen Study (2018), have confirmed the need for programs to develop leadership skills in kindergarten children.
The problem of the research:
Based on the standards of kindergarten in the Arab Republic of Egypt, which aims to achieve the overall quality in the education of the child, and prepare it for education in the later stages, and focus on the participation of the family in kindergarten programs that were included in the sixth criterion, "community participation", which is the main pillar for supporting and improving child education and education, illustrates the role and effectiveness of parental participation (Early Childhood Education Improvement Project, 2009, volume a).
The idea of participation is based on the belief that individuals have enormous potential and potential that can be exploited and directed towards achieving major goals that benefit society at large, and that the individuals themselves benefit greatly.
The research problem can be formulated in the light of the following questions:
1- What is the effectiveness of a parental participation program in developing some leadership skills in a sample of kindergarten children?
2- How effective is a parental participation program in developing some leadership skills in a sample of kindergarten children two months after the end of the application?
The significance of the research:
The search objectives are determined by:
1- Activating community participation between the child's family and kindergarten.
2- Design a parent-based program to develop some leadership skills in a sample of kindergarten children.
3- Reveal the effectiveness of the parental participation program in developing some leadership skills in a sample of kindergarten children?
4- Reveal the continuity of the impact of the parental participation program in the development of some leadership skills in a sample of kindergarten children?
The purpose of the research:
Search results may be useful for:
- To highlight the importance of parental participation in achieving the objectives of the program in developing the leadership skills of kindergarten children.
- Provide a list of some leadership skills that will be developed through the program, suitable for kindergarten children.
- Provide some research recommendations and suggestions to specialists and researchers in the field of childhood studies.
The sample of the research:
The research was conducted on a sample of (24) kindergarten children, aged between 5 and 6 years, with an average age of (63.7) months, and a standard deviation (1.92) degrees. They were divided into two groups, one officer and the other experimental, the strength of each group (12) children.
The tools of the research:
The researcher used the following tools to achieve the objectives of the research:
1- The man's drawing test for Good Inf-Harris, translated and prepared by Mustafa Fahmy, Appendix No. (1).
2- The illustrated leadership skills scale for kindergarten children is prepared by the "Researcher", supplement No. (2).
3- A program that uses electronic stories to improve the concept of self-esteem in children preparing "The Researcher", Appendix No. (3).
The methodology of the research:
The current research is based on a quasi-experimental approach and includes two groups, one controlled and the other experimental. Statistical methods:
1- Detecting the moderation of grade distribution: by calculating the coefficient of sprains, the researcher was used for his calculation of the centrality (arithmetic- intermediate average - standard deviation).
2- Testing the homogeneity of the two samples: by calculating the ratio.
3- Calculating the significance of the differences between averages: The researcher used the "T" test to calculate the significance of the differences between the averages.
The results of the research:
The search results found:
1- The existence of statistically significant differences between the average grades of children of the control and experimental groups on the measure of leadership skills in kindergarten children, after the application of the program, and differences in favor of the children of the experimental group.
2- Statistically significant differences between the average grades of children of the experimental group before and after the application of the program on the leadership skills scale of kindergarten children, and differences in favor of the dimension application.
3- The lack of statistically significant differences between the average grades of the experimental group's children on the leadership skills scale of kindergarten children immediately after the implementation of the program and two months after the program was discontinued.
