Abstract: |
The research aims to identify:
1- Relationships between psychological skills, aggression and assertive behavior of the player, the group activities chosen
2- The differences between the players (handball - hockey - volleyball) in both psychological skills, aggression and assertive behavior.
The researcher used the descriptive method which is based on describing the current situation, and the interrelationships between the psychological variables of the research sample from players of handball, hockey, and volleyball activities.
The sample was chosen intentionally to represent first-class players in handball, hockey and volleyball for the 2003/2004 season, when the first three teams were chosen.
In the ranking in the local championship organized by the game's association during this season, according to the following:
A- Selection of handball players from (Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Sporting) clubs, who are (32) players out of the total registered players (63)
B- The selection of hockey players from the (Eastern, Fishermen, Police) clubs, who are (27) players out of the total registered players (75)
C- Selection of volleyball players from (Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Al-Jaish) clubs, and they are (23) players out of the total registered players (45)
Thus, the total of the research sample is (82) players, in addition to selecting (15) players as a sample to verify the scientific transactions of data collection tools and by (5) players from each activity
The most important results were:
1- There are statistically significant correlational relationships between anxiety and athletic aggression.
2- The presence of statistically significant inverse correlations between anxiety and assertive behavior
3- The presence of statistically significant inverse correlations between concentration of attention, mental readiness, and self-confidence with mathematical aggression.
4- There are statistically significant correlational relationships between concentration of attention, mental preparation and self-confidence with assertive behavior.
5- The highest levels of sports aggression were for hockey players, followed by handball players, and lowest for hockey players.
6- The highest levels of assertive behavior were for volleyball players, followed by handball players, and lowest for hockey players
7- Increased anxiety among handball players, followed by hockey and volleyball
8- Increasing the focus of attention among hockey players, followed by handball and volleyball
9- Increased mental readiness among handball players, followed by volleyball and hockey
10- Increased self-confidence among volleyball players, followed by handball and hockey
