Abstract:
Fluorescence and absorption bands of Rhodamin-6G (R6G) doped in polyvenialcloride (PVC) as well as its solutions in methanol and in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solvents were investigated. A maximum value of the extinction coefficient as high as 2.184x10(6) mol(-1) cm(-1) at 2.363 eV has been measured. Also, an identical shape of broadening in photoluminescence (PL) bandwidth is found in both THF solvent and polymer matrix. The estimated lifetime for R6G doped in PVC-polymer is found to be 11.4 ns.
