من أهم أهداف أنظمة الرعاية الصحية مستقبلا متابعة المرضى باستخدام أجهزة استشعار تستهلك أقل قدر ممكن من الطاقة، وبالتالي تكون طويلة الأجل. في الوقت نفسه لا بد أن توفر الأنظمة اللاسلكية التي تعتمد على هذه الحساسات كفاءة عالية في استرجاع الاشار
