Abstract:
The effect of the addition of different sizing agents, such as rosin and cationic starch, on the mechanical and optical properties of paper sheets produced from different agricultural wastes, such as bagasse, cotton stalks and esparto, was investigated. A comparison between the effect of rosin and cationic starch on pulp properties was also discussed.
