Abstract:
It is known that Dimethylglyoxime is a specialist reagent from nickel, cation. The effect of the two prepared polyesters from dimethylglyoxime with malice acid and phethalic acid (I,II) on the corrosion of Ni in 2 M H2SO4 was studied. It was. found that, these compounds inhibit the corrosion of nickel in acid media. The inhibition efficiency of these polyesters were calculated using weight loss measurements and potentiostatic technique the polyesters give a good inhibition for nickel in 2 M H2SO4. The inhibition efficiency was attributed to the adsorption of the polyester molecules on the electrode surface with the ability of formation an insoluble complex with the metal cation.
