Abstract:
We devote this research paper to construct a relationship between the average of the total number of quanta in a single-mode squeezed vacuum state and the mean free path of atoms of a material through which the natural light passes. This relationship provides a method to measure experimentally the mean number of photons present in this mode of the quantum radiation field.
